Our history - QLD

Alzheimer’s Australia (Qld) was formed in 2002 to address the needs of people living with dementia, their families and carers.

We are the only Queensland member of Alzheimer’s Australia, the national leaders in dementia education, support and advocacy for more than 20 years.

We have a state office on the Gold Coast while statewide programs are coordinated from our Brisbane services hub and delivered around Queensland.

Since 2002 eight independent member organizations have joined Alzheimer’s Australia (Qld) and work in their regional communities to raise awareness of dementia and provide peer support to people living with dementia and their families.
